The F-15E is very likely the most successful air superiority fighter in the US inventory. With a thrust-to-weight ratio of well over 1:1 and a maximum speed of Mach 2.5 at high altitude, the F-15 makes a deadly opponent. The two-seater version is used for the air-to-ground attack and night and all-weather interception. The Strike Eagle delivers a diverse arsenal of weapons including the Paveway and JDAM laser-guided bombs 11 tons at a time. The F-15 also holds the distinction of never having suffered a combat loss.
