The Douglas Dauntless served as the US Navy's primary bomber in the Pacific and served in every major operation. The Dauntless dive-bomber grew into one of the most celebrated aircraft of WWII, with 5,936 having been constructed in all variants. This edition, containing plastic and transparent parts for assembling the SBD-3 bomber, was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of The Battle of Midway.
