Model Tank Kit

To counter the success of the Russian T-34 in the Second World War, Germany developed the Panther. Formidable and equipped with a Type 42 L70, 75mm main gun, the Panther proved itself on the frontlines following its entry into service. In 1944, the Panther Type G entered production following several improvements and enhancements, including the construction of side armor with sloped angles and other refinements to the assembly. A Maybach HL230-P30 V-12 engine with 700hp powered the Panther, and the tank used a torsion bar suspension and compound roadwheels. Due to a lack of materials, a trial run of Panther Gs was produced with steel wheels. These replaced the conventional rubber rims and were insulated from the hubs with two rubber rings fixed between disc-shaped pressings. When fully assembled, this 1/35 scale model measures 25.8cm.
