The M3A3 Stuart Light Tank, also known as the Stuart V in British service, was an improved version of the American M3 Stuart family that incorporated lessons learned from early wartime operations. Featuring a welded hull, improved internal layout, and enhanced reliability, the M3A3 served with U.S. forces and was widely supplied to Allied nations through Lend-Lease. British and Commonwealth forces used the Stuart V primarily for reconnaissance duties, where its speed, compact size, and dependable performance made it highly valuable on the battlefield.
