The Sd.Kfz. 251/9 Ausf. D Kanonenwagen was a specialized late-war version of Germanys iconic armored half-track, designed to provide mobile infantry fire support with a short-barreled 7.5cm cannon. Originally developed from the infantry support role of the early Sd.Kfz. 251/9, later production vehicles incorporated the simplified Ausf. D hull and the internally mounted 7.5cm K51 L/24 gun, giving Panzergrenadier units a powerful weapon capable of engaging infantry positions, light fortifications, and enemy armored vehicles at close range.
