The Centurion Mk.5 AVRE (Armoured Vehicle Royal Engineers) was a specialized engineering variant of Britains legendary Centurion main battle tank, adapted to provide direct battlefield support for combat engineers. Developed to overcome obstacles, destroy fortifications, and assist armored formations during assaults, the AVRE featured a powerful 165mm demolition gun capable of firing large explosive rounds against hardened targets. Centurion AVRE vehicles served with British forces for decades, including during the Cold War and later conflicts, where their heavy armor and engineering capabilities proved invaluable. This 1/35 scale kit accurately reproduces the distinctive vehicle with its large demolition gun, specialized turret equipment, detailed hull fittings, realistic suspension, and finely molded Centurion running gear.
