Although originally developed by the United States during the 1950s, the M42A1 Duster also served with the West German Bundeswehr, where its twin 40mm Bofors cannons provided highly mobile short-range air defense during the early years of the Cold War. Built on the reliable M41 Walker Bulldog chassis, the Duster combined excellent mobility with an impressive rate of fire, making it effective not only against low-flying aircraft but also in the ground support role. This 1/35 scale kit accurately depicts the Bundeswehr variant with finely detailed twin 40mm gun assemblies, an authentic open-topped turret, realistic suspension and running gear, and finely molded exterior details.
