Bachmann 69025 HO Scale Siemens SC-42DM Charger Metro North Railroad 301 with DCC WOWSound

The latest variation of Siemens Charger locomotives joins Bachmanns lineup with the dual-mode SC42-DM. While similar in appearance to other Charger models, the SC42-DM is designed for commuter operation out of New York City, utilizing third rail electric power in Manhattan, before switching to conventional diesel-electric power once out of the city. Operated by MTA Metro-North Railroad, the SC42-DM is set to become the primary power for locomotive-hauled commuter rail service on all lines east of the Hudson River in the coming years. The Bachmann SC42-DM has been developed in collaboration with Siemens Mobility to ensure prototypical accuracy and arrives with authentic details, retooled trucks featuring third rail pickup shoes, and all of the sound and lighting functions youve come to expect from a Bachmann Charger model.
