A key milestone in the development of Germanys Panzer IV medium tank, the Ausf. F1 3-in-1 model captures the transitional design that bridged early Panzer IV production with the more heavily armed and armored mid-war variants. The F1 was notable for its short-barreled 7.5cm KwK 37 L/24 gun, designed primarily for infantry support, and for being the first variant to incorporate some improvements in armor and turret layout over earlier Ausf.
