The Bf109G type was developed in less than a year to replace the obsolete F type as the Allied forces continued to release cutting-edge aircraft one after another. The high-altitude fighter version with a pressurized cabin was called the G-5 type, and the medium-altitude fighter version with an unpressurized cabin was called the G-6 type. In addition, the G-6 coincided with the intensification of the war and the peak of aircraft production, so more than 10,000 units were produced. This is the highest production volume of all Bf109 models.
