This kit represents the Dornier Do 27 and its licensed Spanish-built counterpart, the CASA C-127both rugged short takeoff and landing (STOL) utility aircraft that became mainstays of light transport and liaison duties in the postwar era. First introduced in the mid-1950s, the Do 27 was Germanys first mass-produced fixed-wing aircraft after WWII, designed specifically for operations from unimproved airstrips and remote locations, where reliability and low-speed handling mattered more than speed or range.
