The Douglas A-26 Invader was the best WWII American twin-engine bomber produced. It was produced from 1942-1945. There were 1355 A-26B aircraft with solid nose and 1091 A-26C aircraft with the glassed nose.
From 1948-1966 the A-26 Invader had the designation B-26. This aircraft took part in the Korean War (1950-1953). They were used to the last day of that war for attack on the advanced positions of the enemy, railways and highways.
