The AFV Club 1/48 Chung-Cheng F-5F & Tigergazer RF-5E Model Aircraft Kit commemorates two of the Republic of China Air Forces most significant Tiger II variants, offering markings and details for the F-5F Chung-Cheng advanced trainer and the RF-5E Tigergazer tactical reconnaissance aircraft. Featuring finely recessed panel lines, a detailed tandem cockpit, clear reconnaissance camera windows for the RF-5E, optional canopy positions, and accurately reproduced external stores, this kit provides an excellent foundation for an authentic ROCAF build. Taiwans domestically assembled F-5 fleet formed the backbone of its air defense and pilot training programs for decades, while the RF-5E Tigergazer played a critical role in aerial reconnaissance by replacing the fighters nose armament with a sophisticated camera suite for intelligence-gathering missions.
