The Panzerkampfwagen I Ausf. F (VK 18.01) sometimes referred to as the Early version of this rare design was part of a prototype-heavy infantry support tank project developed by Nazi Germany during the early 1940s. Despite being called a Panzer I, the Ausf. F shared little with earlier Pz.Kpfw. I variants and was a completely new, heavily armored vehicle.
