The last of the N. N. Polikarpov design bureau biplane fighter family was the I-153. It had a gull-shape dupper wing, a retractable chassis and a more powerful armament with four ShKAS machine guns. Serial planes had M-62 radial engines; the late series had a more powerful M-63.
The maiden flight was in August 1938. In the summer 1941, I-153 Chaika (the Gull) was the basis of Soviet Fighter Aviation with I-16 fighters. I-153s were used in combat until mid-1943.
The set includes 176 parts for the assembly of the I-153 fighter model kit and 29 parts for the assembly of 3 figures of Soviet pilots (19391942).
FEATURES:
All parts in ICM model kits are highly detailed to fit the reality of the original. They use only high-quality, non-toxic plastic in the production of model kits.
