The projected E-75 Flakpanzer represents one of the more intriguing what-if concepts born from Germanys late-war Entwicklung (E-Series) standardization program. Conceived in 1944 as part of an effort to rationalize armored vehicle production, the E-75 chassis was intended to replace heavy tanks such as the Tiger II with a more streamlined, standardized design. While the war ended before the E-Series could be realized, various proposed configurationsincluding a heavy anti-aircraft platformhave become enduring subjects of historical speculation.
